Ok just a quick update. I have bought all the parts for SST fluid change and improved cooling project.
New SST filter and housing
AMS oversize trans cooler with active fan
Removing factory foglight and trim etc and replace with custom carbon fiber fog light delete kit which will allow more air flow.
Also going to open up the inner fender liner for more flow
will see if custom aluminum duct need to be created.
Will add cooling vents and some other mods to my aluminum skid plate.
Future plans will include changing to SSP deep trans pan and new clutches etc..
Also will be adding carbon fiber mitsubishi emblems to front and back and removing most of the factory emblems for cleaner look. Will also be removing a lot of the racer boy decals from my car. I love them but a lot of my friends are 50 plus and have been giving me the gears etc..
Also bought the Rex speed carbon fiber hood scoop to match the vents I bought for the hood last year. Will also be pricing out Evo X front crash beam.
Will post pictures and will have a few short videos done during the installation and will post it to my Utube channel etc. So stay tuned will have this done before end of the month.

And continuing on .
I installed the smaller emblem on my trunk and the larger one was screwed up was not straight and would not sit flat.
I bought 2 genuine Mitsubishi SST filters complete off Ebay for a $100 less than what dealership wanted for one.
Just a comparison of the new and used filter I removed. I would of replaced the filter when the dealership did the first Trans fluid change but the fact I initially had $150.00 budgeted at that time for the fluid change based on previous cars owned and dealership charged me over $700 just for fluid change then wanted another $400 to change the filter.
Just a close up to show how much sludge and crap the filter caught.

Yeah...when I pull out my tranny filter @ 18000 miles it looks just like yours but worse...however...I was surprised that the fluid wasn't as dark as I anticipated...
Your car looks nice with the fog delete and hood vents...

Thanks, I am loving the more agresive Evo style look the car is taking on LOL !
yeah my fluid looked better than expected. I had only put about 20,000 km or aprox 12,000 miles since the last Transmission fluid change. I was really surprised by how loud and how much air that fan on the back of the AMS cooler moves/ sounds.
Closer pic of AMS cooler installed.
