i found the answer on another forum:
"Search through all of the transmission threads here, it has been discussed in great detail. The biggest issue is not the actual component swap, since it is basically a direct fit. The issue comes in when tuning and trying to get computers to cooperate.

To over simplify: Ralliart ECU will always be looking for a TCU and an Evo ECU will always be looking for AYC. Those are the most basic differences that will cause the car to have issues, but there are other things that will be tweaky and that's not even beginning to consider what pin-changes, if any, would need to be done on the harness.

Yes it can be done. Yes it is a huge pain in the ass. If you do it, post it up. Thanks."

WORKS @ Infineon has one build in progrerss.
It started its life as Lancer GTS, WORKS had gutted the car,
put 4B11 from RA with EVO X GSR Manual Transmission.
At the time I went it wasnt running yet but 4b11 & Manual Tranny was in the engine bay, no wiring yet. I would love to see it run.

What about the transmission from a lancer GTS? I think its only 5 speed though. That may be an issue.

I highly doubt the GTS manual transmission would be able to handle the added stress/power from the Ralliart, especially if you're modded. I wouldn't think the car would run period since the GTS manual doesn't have a computer but the SST does, the Ralliart's ECU would constantly be trying to communicate with it and if it can't, no go.

For the Ralliart, it's either the original SST or, if modified, the MR SST.

Sounds like a great option if you can find a shop that's done it a few times.

A new SST costs upwards of 8Grand.
Rebuilding with SSP costly slightly less.

Once you have a 5 speed in there, all you'd have to worry about is a clutch.

Default manual swap

i'll drink to that!!! even when and if done a few times a price under $5000 would be needed otherwise buy the evo which i was thinking of but installing a smaller brake package to get 15 or 16 inch wheels on it would cost also, we need mitshu to step up, prolly could cut a grand off the price and save 100 lb with a 5 spd manual. i couldn't get to the dealers soon enough if this happened
