Default Ebay Header style exhaust manifold for Evo X Turbo

I am looking to upgrade to an Evo X turbo and found this on Ebay. This is a very nice looking polished stainless header style exhaust manifold that looks and should perform better than the rusty looking cast iron oem exaust manifold.

Can I get some feed back as to the pluses and minuses of using this manifold versus buying a stock cast iron one.

looks pretty good to me. I'm not too sure how it could be bad unless its made with some really shitty materials which it doesn't appear to be. i might look into this as well. I'm slowly trying to acquire the swap parts. its going to take a looooooong time.

I was at an event over the weekend and I got to see the Tomioka Racing Evo X exhaust manifold in person. Let me start by saying that this piece has got to be one of the best constructed exhaust manifolds I've seen. This is pure quality and is just about as good as it gets.

welds looks like they were done by a 2 yr old.
I wouldnt buy it just because of the welds.

It doesnt say much in the description as far as brand.
Doesnt look like everything was polished only the tubes.
Looks like only the tubes are stainless steel & very poorly welded.
Looks very cheaply made by someone practicing welding.

if he's asking about a manifold thats 250$ he's probably not interested in spending 700$. Needless to say, the Tomioka mani is beautiful

I wouldn't trust it. There are some known companies that have issues with welding exhaust manifolds and putting faith in an eBay one will not happen for me.

True, but you can save 450 now, or spend over a grand total when a knock off part cracks
and you have to pay someone to pull it off, fix, replace or buy a new one.

My 2c, don't be afraid to postpone your purchase and wait until you can afford a higher quality product.
Airlines don't shop on ebay for replacement parts. You don't buy prescription drugs on the street, and
it's a good idea not to bargain hunt for parts that are considered "operations critical"
(turbos/brakes/internals or in this case something that's a PITA + expensive to replace).

Look at some of the parts from FULL RACE or Forced Performance.
