Default KN Oil Filter ss-1004

I was looking for some oil filters for my RA when I came across this KN Filter. I also checked the air filter since I was looking.

Anyone know anything about this? Would it be worth the money?

I use mobil 1 oil filters...but royal purple supposed to be good too...kn not too sure about their filtration quality...espacially when it's reusable...there is a lot that can screw up the filtraton...besides the key word there is "under normal driving conditions"

Air filters I use cosworth...bcuz I don't want the oil to screw up the MAF...

I see, people are saying that KN is good but since I only used the cheapest stuff off the shelves on my galant I really have no idea haha. I don't want to go cheap on the RA since it's price isnt easily replaceable. I will have to check up on mobil 1 and cosworth then. Can you notice a difference vs the stock filters?

Maybe reusable anything is probably pretty bad...unless it's the common battery

Why not use re-usable? Sure it says under normal driving conditions, but they say that for the lifetime of the car. The car can last a long time if you take care. Plus being reusable, its not like its getting hit with a hammer. Particles and oil pass through it.

If anything, I think more research needs to be done on the quality of the KN oil filter.

I got K&N "Reusable" oiled Air Filter because of the price used. One for free & second one for around 20$ or so. Lifetime warranty make me feel warm & cozy.

Im sure it will wear & tear down the road of many cleaning, wedged pieces rocks & particles between the pleats.

Cleaning solution & protection oil for the K&N Air Filter can get expensive if you dont shop around.

Depends on time vs money. If you got time K&N is decent Air Filter. If you dont want to spend the time cleaning or re-using get throw away Air Filter.

I was looking into the reusable Oil Filter. VERY VERY Expensive for initial investment that wont pay off for a long time...

i wouldnt go with a reusable oil filter.oil filters arent expensive to begin with so to me it wouldnt be worth having to clean it out after every oil change.

I dont like throwing hard earned money away. Anytime reusable or renewable (within logistically reasonable) is a good thing. Consume less material & Energy by throwing away less items.

Again Initial investment is very high for "Reusable Engine Oil Filter"

So $200.00 for reusableEngine Oil Filter
vs
$5-15 Throw-away Engine Oil Filter

Lets just go with low end cheap $5 for example.
$200÷$5= 40 (You would have to change the oil x40 times to break even on investment)

If you change the oil every 3,000 miles, it would take 120,000 miles to break even on the investment.

Tough call. If you care about your environment at all.
Im not a tree huger but I do my part to preserve the way of life.

Not only that cleaning solution is another added cost...

Unless you have one cleaning solution that cheap enough to take care of everything.
