I know what you mean. Cut the car in half and put it on a mirror. It will look like nostrils. Not sure I would like it, but its hard to tell without seeing it.

Even if you cut it open for fq400-ish you/one would still need to cut the radiator shield air intake area flip it around to properly channel/funnel the air to the intake to be remotely effective. Also need top cover for the intake similar to what the lancer guys uses for their intake. Its on the web somewhere.

Nostril idea is different. But for what purpose other than trying to make it look symmetrical or a nose. If it serves a purpose I say go for it.
