Default Used ralliart exhaust question

Everyone,

I am looking into buying a 2010 ralliart with 24K and need you opinion. The car looks good but has..look at the images below of the exhaust pipes. The previous owner, cut the pipes and installed this Y exhaust with no muffler. The added pipes are rusting through the axis welds and main welds. Has someone ever seen this setup. Can you give me an opinion of this? Good idea, bad? Sucks and is a crappy job? Sound wise, do you think I need mufflers (legally) give me some feedback!! Thanks.

He does have the stock exhaust. But although I'm not familiar with the exhaust of the ralliart, it seems that he cut the pipe right after the resonator and from there on welded a Y and straight pipes. That means I would need to pay for a weld job fix. Any idea how much fixing something like this would cost? Or should I just consider getting an aftermarket exhaust that includes the resonator that connects after the cat converter. Can someone give me a recommendation on what aftermarket setup I could get and price range for it?

Thanks again!

Exactly. That's a pretty hack job and from the pics you took it looks like it actually restricts flow right where the pipe splits. Anyone who is too cheap to buy a $10 flange to make the exhaust an OEM style bolt-on affair would have me worried about any other mods done too.

Thanks all for your responses. I found a better option. Good luck with that guy that was trying to tell me he drove the car like a grandma. I doubt it with that exhaust work.
