Yeah not so much the dealer but rather the service writer and Mitsu Heads. A lot of BS was thrown around and I ended up in it. Anyhow the lead technician who happens to be the one working on my car ended up being really helpful. Not trying to point fingers at SCM, I understand that they are just doing their jobs. The strange thing was that they told me my mods had nothing to do with the cause of the engine failure yet they still denied me of the warranty because I was modified?! That's what got me upset and is what will lead me to take further action against Mitsu.

Cool, good for future reference. I ended up buying a new long block assembly since there were no used ones in CA that I could come across. Should be a simple straight replacement and hopefully will be complete by next Friday if all goes well. I'll keep you updated as things progress.

LOL 4b11 Built can range from 4-5K Sorry dude your prices are WAY offf... I've bought built motors from Buschur before so I know the Prices.... Again, please refer to Buschur before assuming other wise.

Just saying... I've been there done that. I also own a High+HP Evo and seriously not that expensive.

Well I checked their site and my prices are spot on. I mean since my block and head are both destroyed I'd have to buy their Stage 3 block w/o core which is $4400, plus their cylinder head for another $1950. Also would need the gaskets, pulleys, belts, etc. Shipping and install fees which push the price even higher. On another note really interested in seeing your setup on your Evo, post some pics please!

I also forgot to mention the little things like spark plugs, engine oil, re-tune on the ECU since I have bolt-ons. This ain't a cheap fix by any means, but I managed to get a direct replacement long block installed for about 6k which I think is a great deal which includes dealer warranty.

Fast acceleration & deceleration overtime may cause the timing chain issues.
Higher the rpm the more belt/chain stretches.

I limit myself to 3k rpm every gear to save gas, brake & to take it easy on wear & tear during daily driving. Barely any throttle pressure.
