food for thought - what happens if your battery is faulty and you need it warrantied? you can't just take it to your local battery shop, you're stuck shipping it to AMS, just so they can send it to ____ manufacturer

happened to me and it was the dumbest thing ever for a battery I could have bought locally for cheaper - I was lucky it didn't leave my car dead as I had a second one for that small battery bracket development back in the day (lol )

If you have no restrictions to relocating your battery, just move it to the trunk. Spend the extra dough on a 'good' battery! Small ones scare the crap outta me.

Nice pics! Thanks for posting Rallimark.

I wouldn't mind improving the weight balance by moving the battery to the trunk, but I haven't seen any kits for that. My current battery is an Optima Red Top 35, which I have been very happy with, but wasn't sure what my option were on relocation.

Tons of kits out there. It's a pretty straight forward process though, so simple to make one as well. Sourcing a tray is the only hurdle. The rest is all cabling.

Thanks for the link.

For weight distribution, I would think right rear would be best, in the trunk near the ACD reservoir, correct?

Not trying to bring up an old thread but this is the most recent. how complicated is relocating the battery to the trunk?
