Default Looking to drive an RA
Hi everyone, can't stop thinking about driving an RA so I've been lurking the forums for weeks. I'm thinking of going cheap and buying a used 09 with over 40,000 miles on it from a mitsubishi dealership. Is the mileage good or bad for a 09 model? Should I go for it? Or will it just be a problem in the long run. This is my first time buying a performance car so I'm completely clueless. Thanks

Where are you from? How much? Can they provide maintance records? What the dealer you're buying from?

To be honest try looking for 2010 and up. I believe there are few people on this forum that are selling their RA's at somewhat decent price. Try cargurus they have a great search engine.

I am from Canada, this used 09 with 40k miles is priced at 21k canadian $. Cars here are quite pricey. I believe a brand new one is around 37k CAD with taxes. Sometimes I'm tempted to buy brand new but I just bought a new house so budget is kinda tight so I'm trying to save as much as possible. I'll try to ask for service records if they have em. Thanks.

21k with 40k miles?! Thats over priced tag even if you are in Canada. I wouldn't buy that car.

Thats pretty much the same mileage as my 09 and I don't take mine on any road trips and only have a 20 minute commute to work so I'd say its fairly low, the price does seem too high though. I got mine for 20k usd about 3 years ago or so.

Be aware that the 09's and 10's are more susceptible to transmission issues... I'm going to have mine rebuilt shortly.
