I think stock boost peaks at around 13, but I really wouldnt want to do much more than that with a plastic BOV IMO. It can handle more I know, Im just a stickler when it comes to having plastic parts on my car.

Get an OEM Evo metal BPV and be set. It'll hold more boost, more reliable. Plenty for the TD04 turbo in this car.

Evo owners usually sell them cheap. Try the FS threads on the different Evo forums, or you can buy one brand new. Check Lancershop.com.

if you buy the evo one, you'll also need a longer vacuum line

Yes, the OEM line will fit, but it will pinch a bit since it's short, which could cause issues. Best to get a longer line anyway to prevent issues.

Yes the Evo X metal bov has the vacuum nipple located on the opposite side, so a longer piece of vacuum line is normally needed. I purchased my Evo MR bov direct from lancershop with no issues and great service.
