Default Tail light overlays

Anyone here ever use the precut tinted tail light overlays like you can get from eBay? The place that tinted my windows wants $100 to do my fiances 370z and $80 to do my Ralliart. I could buy nine sets for that and I'm sure by then I'd be a pro lol.

Was looking for any of your experiences and or tips on doing them. Thanks guys.

Excellent question.

I am looking to get a set for my RA as well, but haven't been able to find any feedback.

My buddy who has a GTS bought a set from BlueBatmobile.net. i highly suggest bat's overlays. I myself bought the rear bumper reflector and 3rd brake light overlays from him. Keep in mind that I am a graphics installer. The rear tail light overlays are a huge pain in the ass because of the way they have to be stretched. It took me a couple hours with a heat gun to get them installed and they turned out perfect IMO. Fit well and no tears or wrinkles. I also did the overlays on his headlights which were also a liitle difficult but nothing compared to the tails. Good luck to you if you're up for the challenge to do yourself but the pricing he gave to you I would say is very good considering the time it will take to do these right.

Thank you for the review jay10ralliart.

Unfortunately it is doubtful I could be as skilled as yourself in the application of these overlays

I had some on my old GTS. I just bought a roll though. They were terrible to install though, the stretching required on the outer light assemblies is insane and causes lots of strange wrinkles... Here is a pic on my old GTS:

I got a can of VHT Nightshades from Advance last week and was pleasantly suprised with the results. I'll post pics later but I did kind of screw up. I was REALLY HUMID the night I did it and the RH lights have what look like water drops in the finish. It still looks good though.
