Question cipher racing seats

I found these seats which look pretty sick. They also sell brackets for our cars to fit the seats. Looks like a good deal totaling about $570 for the pair with brackets.

Seats

Brackets

Would this be a good purchase? My only concern is I'm pretty sure the airbag light will come on when these are installed. What problems might this cause? Is there an appropriate way to bypass the error code that gets sent to the system?

It would be a lot cheaper than getting Recaro seats which are over $1k

Besides your seat bags not working, you'll probly disable all your airbags.. I've never gotten a straight answer from any Mfgr about this, they just site it being illegal to tamper with the bags.. So, for safety/warranty/liability reasons I'd go stock, it's pretty lucky we have that option at all, so I'd rec saving a few more bux, and getting recaros..

As for those seats, to me almost all of the non rated seats have the look and feel of being for video games more than cars, just my op.

minimal partial rolls $60(no tab grinding)

So cal fender roller rental $10 per day(3 day min) with $200 cash deposit. Includes Eastwood fender roller, heat gun and heavyweight carry bag.

Those are really good points. I think I might take your advice and save up for some recaros. Thanks.

Yeah, i could never get straight answers about using those aftermarket CEL trick kits and such, so I skipped them.. I have a post up on how to swap your seats for recaros., don't sell your seats, til you swap the passenger seat base out.. You can always post a WTB on an EVO forum, so you can find a local seller. Shipping those seats will be tough.. I'm lucky I'm in CA, we get them up for sale a few times a year..
