On a sedan you don't have the screw hole up top and have to use metal claps in the door jams which may rub or tear vinyl if your using on the whole car. If it's just the roof your wrapping you should be fine.
cool, needed that! this was the only thing holding me back from purchasing a rack. now time to get one!

also, btw, are you having rubbing issues on your rear fenders with that wheel/tire/suspension combo?

Thanks!, Thule has bike cariers that will hold a bike without removing the wheels like the 794xt.
That makes sense though, it soundslike you got a DH bike with a thru axle setup.

If you get a fairing up front (cuts down the wind noise) they have clear vinyl stickers and foam pads to protect the paint as well, Thats the only part I could see messing up a wrapped roof, if you did not use the supplied pads.

I have only had these wheels on for a few weeks (xxr 527 18x8.75 +35 offset / HTR3's 245/40/18 / Fortune Auto 510 Coilovers). I have heard them rub a couple of times on a large dip in the road , I can't tell by looking if it is the tabs or not, I rolled the fenders but not totally flush, The tabs seem to be ok, no signs of tire rub.. I'll look into it more later, worst case I have to bend the tabs and zip tie the bumper.

Or you get a custom towbar made and put a rear bike carrier...which is what I'm planning (pics not of my car):
