What are these hoses

So as some of you know, I wrecked my car a few weeks back only after owning it a few weeks. I went to pick it up today and there's a air leak where a sensor/hose connection has broke. Can someone tell me what the 2 hoses in the picture that I circled in red?

The sensor that's broken sits on the front of the intake manifold and one of those 2 hoses hook to the sensor.

Does anyone know what this sensor may be?

Ill try to check, but get a longer hose for that bov, before it splits..

Thanks for the reply. The pic is a general pic off the Internet so no worries of mine on the bov. I didn't have my car in hand when I wanted to ask this question and that's the only pic with what I needed in it. I did get car back late last night and they epoxies the hoses to the sensor or ? Whatever it is until they get the new piece in. It runs fine now. I'm thinking its a pcv port. What you think?

I believe its the check valve.
