Default ACD pump question

Does anyone know if the ACD pump on the Ralliart is the same as the one from the Evo X? Because I'm wondering if the ACD guard from http://www.carbing.co.jp/japan/produ.../5283290.shtml would fit under our Ralliart. I do notice that our ACD pump is located in the same spot as the Evo and, we have more room to work with then the Evo X.

Good question. I want to say yes because the layout is almost the same, but no because the car itself isn't the same.

The guard will work. May need slight modification to the shape, if any.

In case you want to know what our RA looks like down there.

Why does that shot of the underbody look "expensive" to me? lol

With just poking my head under the rear corner of an EVO and a RalliArt here at the shop they look close enough. Might have to slot out a hole or bend it slightly. Then again with a couple thousand local EVO X customers I have never had any of them hit or damage that pump thing.

Rally jump? maybe?

Like this maybe... & for some reason I dont think that guard would do anything at that point.

haha! Great pics and video. If anyone was seriously worried about it getting damaged, I'm sure the sanctioning body they would be racing in would allow for moving it.

Well, the only reason why I'm interested in getting this ACD guard is because, it protects the pump from road salt and all sorts of crap that might cause it to rust and fail. A buddy on a local group with a 2008 Evo X had a fail pump recently and, seems like a common problem.
