Awesome! The community will love you.

Sorry about the accident.

My mission in life.

If/when they total the car out today, I will begin surgery tomorrow. Assuming that everything goes as planned, you should have the TCU by next week. However, there is always the possibility that they will try and repair the car (which is not likely). If that is the case, I will let you know.

Depends on the current value on the car vs the damage that was done to it.
If the cost of the damage come close to/or exceed the value, it would be considered total.
What kind of damage are we talking about?

Yeah, We luv you in a 'Brother from another mother' kinda way.
So you can scratch that off your bucket list. Mission completed.

If the frame can be salvaged, which it very well might be able to be, I will go ahead and have them attempt to repair the car. The transmission and motor both work (fired right up). The front differential is totally destroyed, both front axles are gone, both front fenders, the hood, the a-pillars, the front crash assembly and bumper, the right front and rear doors, both front wheels, the entire front brake assembly, and the front subframe all need to be replaced. I will be on-sight when the frame is measured and evaluated. Like I said, if they can repair everything to a tolerance level of almost nothing (less than 40 1000th's of an inch), then we will go ahead and replace what needs to be replaced. If not, Bryan will have his TCU by next week. We shall see.

I will also have to generate an invoice for the complete replacement of the brakes. My labor isn't cheap, either.

With all that damaged, it would cost more than half the car for labor.
Im sure you can persuade the Insurance Company to total it.
Tell em it is not going to be the same. Because it is not going to be the same.

Especially when I had my fender bender just to repair small damage on fender & front bumper was over 2k+$ Once I told em about the hood they tacked on another 1k$.

Considering amount of damage done to yours I would say totalled.
I wouldnt waste anytime measuring the frame. Unless you have sentimental value over your current RA. I would just start pulling parts out, just a suggestion.

Spare 4b11T?

We shall see. I thought that it looked totaled, but we won't know for sure until the estimate is completed. You also have to figure that my POS Jetta rental car costs $500 per week. I mean, the amount of damage that this ass-hat did is astronomical.

500$/week? thats one expensive Jetta. Is it Jet powered?

Cheaper to just lease it for a couple of month.

I get 13$/day & get free upgrade by complaining to manager. Check priceline.
