That's interesting, the stryofoam beam cover on my 2010 is white, not black like yours.

I can confirm 2011 has white styrofoam too. I don't recall seeing a black one a friend's 2009 when installing his intercooler so....guess he painted it? 
I'm still on the fence about the intercooler grille piece (mainly vs it's cost)

The styrafoam is white I just primed and painted the crash beam black and used just black spray paint on the styrafoam. Just in case I get a few people wanting to take a real close look. Another tip is use ramps for the front end as it was real easy to slide under the car at this height to take off all the bolts and clips on the bottom side.
