Actually that guy was a customer/friend of mine. There was a whole blow up over it on So Cal EVO. Turned out to be more of a customer service issue that he was not feeling like he was being responded to properly so he took it out on the internets. Both sides could have handled it better for sure. But South Coast is not a rip off in any way.
SCM did try to work things out but it was too late to keep Russ from going off. They are all just real people. Sell the most Mitsubishis in the country and something is bound to screw up somewhere. I have my own people that I have pissed off dispite my best attempts to make things right. Besides... South Coast Mitsubishi sells cars WAY too cheap to not deal with them.

From experience, South Coast Mitsubishi is definitely NOT a rip-off. Sam will do his best to make what you need to have happen, happen. He got me the best deal ever on my RA - I know I couldn't have gotten it cheaper at other locations. Plus, I know they are friendly with enthusiasts.

One complaint does not a trend make. If you offset all of the complaints with all of the positive feedback, South Coast still comes out way ahead of their competitors.

I've bought new from them and had several Evos serviced through them. I'd have to agree that it's not the norm. My experiences have been pleasant in both sales and service.

That sounds like something Stohlman Mitsubishi in Tysons Corner, VA, would have done. Luckily they're out of business, good riddance.

Long beach just closed..
And the same guy owns that dealership as well, he owns several.. And I believe his brother owns a couple as well, good luck hiding from them, I think the only local dealer not involved would be Anaheim..?

the car business is not friendly to work in
it's cut-throat and relentless - only worse if you're as big as SCM; nobody is your friend
I remember back when I sold them full-time, looking for cars to dealer-trade for a certain option/color that a customer wanted - if SCM, it was an automatic "nope, can't get that one"
