I've currently having this tested on my car. The initial firmware met with some hic-ups and the car could not be flashed. The most recently released seems to be working very well.

I've had two maps loaded on the car for a stage 1 and 2. Stage two reportedly made very good power around 9PM last night. I'll post some numbers later when the tuner wakes up.

Well, with a Cobb AP, there is no need to try and find a backlogged Tactrix cable.

Other than the ability to reflash your ECU and the valet/anti-start features, I'm curious to know how this differs from the REV product. It seems that it runs for twice as much as REV (not including the cost of an iphone or ipod touch).

We left the Ralliart with HB Speed to test the new firmware for COBB. Initially there was an issue where Jon could not load the new maps. A day later, COBB sent out a revision and Jon was off and running. Over the next week, HB established stage 1 and 2 base maps for the car.

The graph below represents a the factory tune compared to stage 2. The car was stock with the exception a test pipe (for off road use only). So the gains are about 45 peak WHP and 57 TQ. Not bad for 91 octane and a "stock car" and pretty amazing for just base maps.

EDIT: This tune was done without a boost pill.

Also, these are the maps that will be available to the public either through COBB, or you can have one tailored to your needs by HB Speed.

I have two Openport 2.0 cables in stock. Tactrix.com has them in stock also.

In what ways is the Cobb system better than the open source stuff? Why did you decide to go with it? Does it make more power?

Compared to the $180ish shipped Openport 2.0 cable, $25 download for the EVOScan logging software, free ECUFlash software and free basemaps from Bryan @ GST... how do the economics vs. HP stack up between the two tuning options?
