hate to burst your bubble, but there are tons of things that can go wrong with an SST besides clutches. I would check what codes it's throwing first. get the codes read and post them up so we can help more

honestly, oem clutches are pretty durable - when tuned properly

Might be time to visit your local dealership.

To re cap what was already covered. He lives up North about 8 hrs drive north of where I am where the closest Mitsubishi dealer is. Because he changed his own SST transmission fluid and did not have it done at the dealership or another certified automotive repair facility by a ceritified tech they are denying him warranty coverage on that basis because they would be insisting that was at the very least a contributing factor. Hope this clears things up.

At what mileage did the problems start, and did the tranny start skipping gears or just get jerky? Was there a CEL?

I have some vacation time coming up and I hope to put together a tranny issue tracking chart for the group.

the clutches first started to slip around 46000 km very slightly couldnt really tell if i was just imagining things ! I changed SST fluid seemed problem stopped till about 56000 km where the slipping got progressively worse to the point where it constantly slips and is barely drivable im at 58 900 now there is a CEL when the Tansmission service required light turns on
