Better than evo x turbo power? idk... Evo X is bigger housing...
Not gonna be as fast as BBX lite?
& the last part, cheaper than Evo X turbo & upgrade? depends if you buy it new or used.. You dont need to relocate the battery if you talk to Mike W@RRE he can fab up "inlet elbow" for Evo X turbo & RA intake. Wutangmo15 has one. +1 for Mike W@RRE
|
Agreed no problem for me with the X FMIC fit was perfect..
So then everything to complete the X swap after getting the turbo and manifold; would be the lines, gaskets, etc. from this list.... http://clubralliart.com/showthread.p...rts+list...and an "inlet pipe" from Mike??

The proper nomenclature is "Inlet Elbow" Custom made by Mike W@RRE.
it bolt on the EVO X turbo (where three bolts pattern), Inlet elbow made by Mike W@RRE, to Ralliart Stock Intake. So everything looks stock & fit perfectly.
The pic below is from Bryan@GST build.
Left side is similar to Evo X turbo..right is Ra turbo. Notice RA turbo doesnt have three bolt pattern around the inlet blades. No need for battery relocation.

"Inlet elbow" yes yes that's what i meant thanks for the correction MTZL.
So that being said only thing need for the swap are parts from that list, turbo, manifold and X down pipe?

lol...yeah & coolant lines & gasket, Bolts, small misc items about 300$ in parts if you buy it from mitsubishiparts.net
Good luck, keep us posted. I see you're selling your Evo X Turbo.
You can always send that EVO X turbo in to CBRD for custom internals & make it go faster.
I have yet to install my Evo X turbo... need more money....
ps: Oh yeah.. Almost forgot... You might look into Engine Oil Cooler & TC-SST Coolers Mike W @RRE is building...
All Evos comes with Oil Coolers. Our RAs dont...
Turbo Engine get hot... Oil keep your turbo cool. Oil Cooler keep your oil cool.

haha yes but now you have got me thinking maybe i should keep it. The other problem i have is i would have to remove stock RA turbo and send into CBRD which i do not have the luxury of doing.

Why r u sending RA turbo to CBRD? Send your Evo X turbo in & get it Custom.
IMO dont waste your money on the RA turbo if you already have Evo X turbo.
Ahhh luxury...I dont have that either.

They were probably talking about their own FMIC, not the factory Evo X one.
