Also a lot of those intakes put the filter where the driver side hood vent is so would that get water in or on the filter if it rained or going through a car wash?
I also think it would be worse for people like me that removed the metal plates under the vent to make the vents fully open for better flow to push hot air out the bay..

I have an ingen short ram and have no problem, I have took the metel water protectors off from inside th hood which allow the turbo to keep cool an let hot air our from the radiator I drive in the rain and have not had any issues.

No problems that you are aware of. Small changes in a/f might not be noticeable.
