its an added filter on the lines...so you will have 2 filters.

good call on the derale cooler..its identical to the AMS. AMS just rebranded it to make it easy for guys like me who dont live in the US and have to get parts shipped from everywhere.

FFL2 - good choice

Finally I would consider changing the actual tranny filter or not even bothering with the SSP filter. Ive done research and its rebranded too and you can get it right from XRP.

hope that helps

good luck! the upgrade and maintenance all sounds great to me!

EDIT: Actually I was wrong the SSP filter does replace the oem filter and adjusts for the great volume in fluid due to the new cooler. So you do not need to replace the old filter, but take it out. Can someone add to this please?

you don't HAVE to run two. if the filter is trash and needs replacing, you could replace with one or the other (as in either in-line or OEM replacement)

I run both, mainly because the OEM was swapped for a new one at 5k miles - inline added at 10k with the cooler, but Eric@SSP-TX runs just the in-line.

/shrug

if that helps at all
