I think it only does it when the phone power dies or sometimes my phone will turn it self off even tho' it has enough battery power (half or more batt power).
Im using Verizon LG VX910V04 (Old phone that had been dropped many times)
Yeah sux about having to pull over to reset.
I think as long as the phone does turn it-self off or batt on the phone doesnt dies when the car is on, its fine.
First time it happened, My phone batt was dead. I didnt know and I got in the car & drove off. When I found out my phone was dead, I used the car charger to charge the phone at the stop light but Bluetooth doesnt reconnect. Had to pull over and setup it up again.
Second time it happened, My phone had turn it-self off for whatever reason (it happens several times a week) and I was already in my car driving for a while & I checked my phone and it was off, I turn it back on but the bluetooth doesnt reconnect.
I did some test, if the phone is off and when you start the car it will look for the phone but if it cannot find it the system will turn it off. Making you pair it all over again.
My conclusion:
Avoid turning the car on if the phone isnt on.
