The FRS/BRZ will instantly become a new addition to professional drifting once the slew of aftermarket parts comes out.

They didn't even wait for the aftermarket. Just dropped the EJ257 from the STI in, and went balls out

Well if you are going to go big, and do a custom install, you might as well go big...

See now I don't get this bullshit at all, why do I need to drop in another motor? Why can't it come AWD and turbocharger ? Am I the only one thinking about this? Cheaper you say? You know 99% of new owners already have started modding it?
As soon as Subaru makes it AWD and turbocharged I will go upside down plus my left kidney.

Honestly, I believe this should stay RWD. It's designed for it. But if they do decide to drop a turbo'ed flat four, then you'd definitely get a lot of interest. Hell, Hyundai (kinda) pulled it off with the Genesis Coupe, it had a 2.0L turbocharged engine, why can't Subaru?

And I don't believe the BS in that article, dropping the STI engine into that car has already been done. There's enough room, but I have a feeling they don't want to steal the spotlight away from the WRX STI as their flagship performance car.
