Default Car wont start

Another thread I know.

Well, this time my car turns over but wont start. Sounds differently too. At first when I started it, it sounded as normal as it should then 0.25 seconds into turning over the tone changed and the car would not start. I tried holding the pedal to the floor made it sound a bit better, but still no luck after trying it for 10-15 seconds.

Checked my relays and cleaned them. all look fine. I am going to check my spark plugs as I dont think they have ever been changed.

Any thoughts?

forgot to say, i even had the gf cars on and hooked up some cables to jump it. It just turned over and turned over with no start. So I ruled out the alternator not charging the battery.

I had that happen to me and it ended up being the grey MFI relay, luckily I had an extra one and replaced it and she started right up. I had upgraded mine with the grey and blue ones from the tsb and this was after that, which was why I had the extra one. Good luck, hope you get her running soon.

car finally started after holding down the gas pedal and firing it up for 15 seconds.

It is one of those damn relays. I have a grey one too, I might just get the dealership to order another set for me.

Cheers,

C

Is it possible for all of them to fail? Or could it be some other problem that its coursing them to fail?

Just the starter relay. When I did go to get them checked a year ago. I already had blues in it. The starter relay was just corroded. So we sprayed electrical cleaner into it and everything worked fine. They ordered a new fuse box to replace it, but we looked at the work involved with replacing it and said screw it. So, we cleaned the area as best we could.

Starting it up took some time. It was like starting a lawnmower that was sitting all winter. Beats me why that is on the car that was started just yesterday.
