Hopefully I can find some dealer guys willing to do that in my area for a little $ on the side or I will have to look into coughing up the big bucks for a MUT 3 tool

Got myself an appointment for Monday! I saved a copy of the file onto a CD guess that's all I need lol. Service guy is calling me tomorrow just to make sure they will use the program I have.... I don't want drive 2 hours for them to say "no we can't use your own CD" I'm just going to say I got the program from my dads work (aamco transmission) and I just want to make sure its the program is the right one sneaky sneaky

Going to do a 2011 this weekend, with the 2011 Evo cff file
will see what transpires

i cbf finding where i wrote it now (too many forums this info is on!),
but i found files that correlate to
2008 evo
2009/10 evo
2011 evo
2009/10 RA
2011 RA

so you can turn the evo-ised ralliart SST back in to a vanilla RA SST if required

This doesnt seem complicated at all and im starting to have more confidence doing things on the RA now that iv had it for over a month. I guess i will give my dealership a shot and see if they will let me do this.

What are the other advantages to have S-Sport other than LUC?

The biggest advantage IMO is the increase in clamp pressure.
Increase in pressure means less slip.
Less slip means less heat.
Less heat means longer tranny life.
Longer tranny life means happier ME!

The service tech called and asked what I needed. Just said I need to use the mut3 device to program my tcu. He said they dont use the mut3 anymore its outdated. They just use a computer now.

then say VCI or MEDIC 3

the VCI is a combination of MEDIC 3 and MUT3

MEDIC (Mitsubishi Electronic & Diagnostic Information Center)
VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface)

the laptop will look like this:

However the program will look different. The laptop in the picture has MEDIC 2 on it. you want MEDIC 3

This is a MUT 3

know the difference

to be honest i think people are confused. In reality there is no MUT3. Its the VCI connected to the OBD2 port using a program called MEDIC 3 which tunes the tcu
