Default aftermarket navigation

does anyone know, if i get an aftermarket dvd navigation unit will the wheel controls of the radio work on the new unit?

Depends on the unit. In my old car they had a module that would allow the use of the wheel controls.

i think most aftermarket nav system wont work with the steering wheel control, but if you are looking at the one on ebay from china i think that one should work with the steering wheel control. i was planning on getting that one too, but if you happen to buy it before me, let me know how it goes.

It all depends on what brand u buy. There's http://pac-audio.com/productSearch.a...2009&YearId=30 or even http://wiredtunes.com/asw/index.html. They're both really easy. I've had a Pioneer w/ pac peswips and a JVC w/ pac swijack.

i have an 8"LCD aftermarket nav system... looks STOCK tho... and its SICK and not expensive at all..

chek it out @ witson.com

how much did you spend on it? and where did you buy it from? on the witson website you can see info about it only.

there are adaptors that allow for the controls on the sterring wheel to work....i know alpine, pioneer etc. have them
